Marbella's summer opens on a timetable. Nikki Beach begins its season in Elviria around the middle of April, Ocean Club opened its 2026 run with a party on the Puerto Banús sand on 1 May, and from then until early October the coast keeps score in sunbeds: about €25 a day at Trocadero Playa, roughly €35 at La Cabane, and closer to €190 for a Balinese bed for two — champagne included — on Los Monteros beach.

Marbella has five Michelin-starred restaurants — Skina with two stars, plus Messina, Nintai, Back and El Lago — and between them they trace a clean map of where the area’s prime property actually lives, from the Casco Antiguo through the Golden Mile to the quietly thriving residential belt around Elviria.

One Marbella developer has put three fashion houses on the deeds of homes along a single stretch of the Golden Mile. Fendi Casa furnishes the apartments at Epic; Dolce & Gabbana is finishing 92 residences a short way inland at Design Hills; and five villas nearby carry the name of Karl Lagerfeld. All three were built by the same company, and all three sit within a couple of kilometres of one another on the Milla de Oro. A decade ago none of this existed. Today the label on the building has become one of the defining features of the top of the Marbella market.
